[ad_1]

How soon to start using flash cards?

Most parents don’t see a reason to teach their child in their first few years as it seems like they won’t understand.

However, research shows that four month old can comprehend written words, learn new languages and mathematics.

Baby flash cards are a great way to train your baby’s brain.

Math is a subject that babies are able to make great progress using this method. For example, the cards allow babies to use their right brain and differentiate between 88 and 89 dots on a page by just looking at it.

What if your baby dislikes flash cards?

Babies are curious and enjoy learning. Just remember to smile and applaud your baby while repeating the words on flash cards with your baby.

Your moods or mental emotions affects your baby’s mood. If you don’t look stressed, your baby will be encouraged to learn. Always stop when your baby looks tired.

Don’t give up if your baby show no initial signs of progress as your baby is absorbing the information.

When you flash at your baby, your baby’s right brain subconsciously absorbs the information.

Flash cards triggers the right brain and problem solving with the right brain means intuitively reaching the correct answer but you might not be able to explain the steps to reach the conclusion.

Whereas the left brain is logical and problem solving follows a system that requires constant repetition and is difficult for younger children.

How often to practice flash cards with your baby?

It is best if you can try to practice at least 3 times a day, every day. You can also consider using computer educational softwares that helps provide structured sequencing of the cards and lets you sit next to your child and read each card as it is shown.

Some critics say you should only start reading and learning at six and that this kind of learning is hard for a child and not fun.

This is untrue as children will find learning fun if the parent or teacher makes learning fun.

Make flashing cards a part of your child’s life so it will feel natural to them. Your mood plays an important part in your child’s learning. Avoid teaching if you are feeling tired or stressed.
