January loves to be cozy and warm and play with Flurry, her pet fox.

What January doesn’t love, is the cold. Her toes freeze. Her nose freezes. Even her hair freezes rock solid.

today. Today had to be the coldest day in the history of all cold days.

Book 1 of The Calendar Kids Series

The Calendar Kids Book Series will feature 12 books in all. Each book will spotlight a character named after the month and their story will include holidays and the weather that the character may experience during their month.

Meet January, Book 1 of the Calendar Kids Series is about a girl who celebrates the new year but has to brave the cold weather to get to school after winter break! With the help of her friends, December and February, she gets over her case of the winter blues.

Calendar Kids Books were created by a teacher to assist parents and educators in their lessons about the months of the year. Every book contains a notebook section for children to write in their own special events that take place during the month. Fun facts about the month are included as well as a discussion page to engage the reader and utilize comprehension skills.

Each story in the Calendar Kids Series will include a special kid friendly recipe to go along with the month. April loves to create fun treats for her own children and wants to share some of their favorite recipes with you.
