Sample Activity: Garden in a Bag

Activity Time: 20 minutes, plus 7 days for observation

1. Have your toddler draw a garden scene onto the plastic bag with markers.

2. Wet several paper towels and wring them out so they are damp but not wet.

3. Put 3 or 4 seeds inside the paper towels.

4. Place the paper towels at the bottom of the bag and seal the bag.

5. Tape the bag to the window.

6. Observe the bag over the next 7 days. Watch as the seeds sprout and start to grow into plants.
